Our Men’s Club held our last Sunday of the month meeting at Gigi’s on June 26, 2022. During our meeting, our club welcomed
Jerry Tack and Bob Stivler as new members. The following events are scheduled:
July 3—a barbecue starting at 5 P.M.
July 24---Cash for silver and gold diamonds, watches and more
August 11---Bingo starting at 5 P.M.
September 4 ---Pizza Party
Manny Lewis was the winner of our 50 – 50.
After our meeting ended, Doug McOwen, our president, introduced Dr, John Maarouf, D.O. as our guest speaker. Circulars
had been distributed showing that his services are new at Century Village. Dr. Maarouf offers bringing his clinic services to
the homes of his patients. He discussed home wellness services which include blood work and urine testing, I.V, therapy
and vitamin treatment, physical and mobility, fall risk assessments, osteopathic manual treatment, and pain management as
well as home sexual wellness in the list of at home wellness.
He specializes in non surgical procedures using ultrasound to determine which area is needed to heal the problem.
They do a hands on approach as well as sports medications and no other types of drugs are used.
He stressed the benefits of nutrition and vitamins. However, he stated that it is better to obtain vitamins from the food we
eat rather than taking vitamin pills.
We thanked Dr, Maarouf for his valuable, important and dynamic presentation. He fielded many questions from our club
and some stayed after his lecture ended to ask more questions and others to make appointments.
