Sisterhood's Message February 2021

We are all looking forward to a great year for Sisterhood and Pembroke Pines Jewish Center. We started off with a bang…of pots and pans, as folks showed us how to cook their favorite comfort food. Mary Dobrinsky had our mouths watering as she and her grandsons made lollypops. Ellen Bristol, who worked with our Board, showed us how to make very easy biscuits with a twist. Arlene Stauber made her knock-out Mandelbread. Steve Reinstein, of the Men’s Club, showed us how to clean out your leftovers and turn them into a unique scramble. Rebecca Reinstein made her easy-peasy pea soup. Good thing we were watching from home and could head to the kitchen and grab lunch.

Speaking of food, and we often are, Sisterhood is sponsoring three Drive-By/Pick-Up events to get you salivating. All pick-ups are 11-12 the day of the event in our parking lot. Celebrate Valentine’s Day, Sunday February 14. Friday, March 5 is Shabbat Across America, rejoicing with synagogues across North America. Friday, April 16, we mark Israel Independence Day. Sandy Rutner will take your reservation at 954-437-8224 or use the website DONATE button. Details are on our website and Facebook page.

Are you missing fun and adventurous travel? At our Sisterhood meeting Tuesday, February 2 at 10:30, people will share photos from their favorite trips. We’ll all discuss our favorite journeys.

AvMed is running 3 parking lot events for us with snacks, music, gift bags and info. All events are 10 – 12: Tuesday January 26, Friday, February 19, and Tuesday, March 23. Join the fun.
