Religious Affairs Committee - May 2022

At the time I am writing this article I am thinking of

Passover. I love the holiday although, as a homemaker, it

requires a fair degree of preparation. We have always

either hosted a seder in our home or were a guest. This

year it will be different. We plan on attending the Temple

seder led by Rabbi Schonblum. We are looking forward to

this. I will tell you all about it in my next article. Besides the

seder, we will hold Passover services on Saturday, April 16

and April 23. Yizkor will be recited on April 23.

Our committee is planning a short but meaningful program

in recognition of Yom Hashoa, Holocaust

Remembrance Day. We are fortunate to have several survivors

as congregation members and they will take part in

this endeavor. This will take place on Thursday, April 28 at

1 PM in our Temple. Please join us. It is open, at no charge,

to the entire community.

As you can see, April is an important and meaningful

month for our congregation as well as for the entire Jewish

community.

Lynda, Richard, and I wish each of you a Zeesen Pesach.

Sheila and Lynda
