Carol Grossman

DO YOU KNOW………

Carol Grossman is our Recording Secretary She was born in Fall River, Massachusetts and later moved to Poughkeepsie, New York, where she grew up. After attending school in Poughkeepsie, she went to Ryder University in Trenton, New Jersey where she met her husband, Alan. They were married in August, 1959 and settled in Yorktown Heights, New York. She stayed home and raised her three sons, Scott, David and Jeffrey.

In 1978, they moved to Dallas, Texas where she began a career in customer service. The Grossmans moved to Pembroke Pines, Florida in 1999 where Carol began working for an Ice Cream Distributor and later became a Data Base Administrator for a healthcare company until retiring.

Carol and Alan joined the Village Reform Congregation and she decided that she needed to do something with her free time. She was asked to work on the Membership Committee and subsequently, was elected as a Director and became the Recording Secretary for VRC.

When VRC and Century Pines Jewish Center merged, Carol was appointed Recording Secretary for the newly formed Pembroke Pines Jewish Center where she has served very effectively since. Carol is very personable and loves to be with people and help wherever she can. She would love to meet new people and has much warmth and friendliness to offer. Be sure to say hello and introduce yourself when you have the opportunity.
